SUMMER ART CAMP 2011

  

Explore famous artists! Express Yourself & Learn New Art Skills! Classes are geared for all ages and are adapted for each level of ability. My philosophy is that every child is an artist. My role is to nurture and help draw out their creative talent. By learning new technical and creative skills, we will have a meaningful art experience! Please scroll down for class details and registration information! This summer is sure to be fantastic! I look forward to sharing wonderful creative moments with you this summer!

June 6-10 Clay Studio: Create works of art in clay, both natural and air dried. Glaze and paint your works of clay!

 

June 13-17: Oooh La La Paris! Be inspired by the city of lights! We’ll create artwork featuring the Eiffel Tower, famous artists inspired by Paris, French Poodles and more!

 

June 20-24: Egyptology: Explore the mysteries of the Ancient Egyptians! Learn hieroglyphics, secret symbols and more. Make artifacts inspired by these ancient mysteries.

 

June 27-July 1: The Art of Pixar: Everyone loves Nemo, Woody, Monsters, Inc, right? We’ll investigate the wonderful world of Pixar animation, while creating our own art inspired by these animated wonders. (This is not a computer animation class!)

 

July 5-8 One Day Wonders: Join me for one or all days in this fun filled week with something for just about everyone!

-Tuesday, July 5: Pirates!: Ahoy Matey! So you want to be a Pirate? Design your own Pirate Flag, learning about Pirate flag history too! Paint your own pirate ship scene with sunken treasures and all!

-Wednesday, July 6: Spa Day!: Pamper your inner princess with homemade soaps, nail art, oatmeal scrubs and other spa-licious fun!

-Thursday, July 7: It’s a Bug’s Life: Bugs are super artsy to look at and create. We’ll explore bugs from every aspect and create artistic bugs to take home!

-Friday, July 8: Fimo Fun: A day with polymer clay, making miniatures and more!

 

July 11-15: Peace, Love and Art!; Art for the hipster hippy child in all of us. Create tie dye, DIY crafts, totally GREEN art projects, and more!

 

July 11-15: Land of the Lost (afternoon camp): Welcome to the Land of Dinosaurs! Come create everything dino with my friend Lauren Taylor, art teacher at The School at St.George Place.

 

July 18-22 Paint Palooza!: Every day we will experiment with different kinds of paint including watercolors, acrylics, glass paint, and tempera on various paint surfaces, such as canvas, paper, and wood!

 

July 25-30 Rulers of the Renaissance: Everything from Botticelli’s Birth of Venus to Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel, discover the riches of the Renaissance while creating your own works of art!

 


 

Studio Facts:

-All classes are from 9:30-12, Monday through Friday, except for Land of the Lost, which is an afternoon camp from 2:00-4:30.

-Classes are designed for grades K-6, and are adapted to meet the needs of all artistic levels.

-Classes are $175 per week. July 5-8 -One Day Wonders is a day by day art camp and is  $40 per day or you can sign up for the whole week for $175.00

-A light snack is provided. Please feel free to send a snack if your child has special dietary needs

-Bonus Discount! Sign up for 3 or more classes and take of $25 from the total fee.

-If you need to cancel for any reason, a class credit will be issued if you notify me 2 weeks prior to camp.

1. Print out enrollment form and mail along with your payment.

2. You may e-mail your registration form, and then send payment separately. 

3. If you are on my snail mail address, you will receive a flier in the mail, and you can mail that in.

4. If you are NOT on my snail mail list, please contact me, and I will make sure you receive the hard copy of the enrollment info.
